Trip Option 1 | Arkansas Valley Zip Line

This zip line course is integrated into the wooded and craggy surroundings in the mountainous 43-acre Gold Camp property. Take in the views of snow-capped peaks and the Arkansas River as you zip from cliff to cliff between the pine and aspen trees. This camp is also rich in mining and outlaw history. Just up the road at the next town, Doc Holiday shot his last man. Your professional guide will make sure you have a safe and rewarding zip line tour while giving you interpretive information on local ecology and history. Six zips over two hours take you over 3,000 feet. No experience needed.

After a scenic nature hike to get to the start of the course, take on six zips of varying length through the trees and cliffs before crossing up and over Chicago Creek for an exhilarating finish.

Trip Option 1 | Fremont Pass Prospector Zip Line


colorado zipine toursThis course is located below Freemont Pass on the way to Leadville, about a 30 minute drive from Interstate 70. The 2000 acre property features more than 50 patented historic gold mines. Some of the many mine shafts are visible on your tour. You will travel to the beginning of the course either by 6 Ton Monster Truck or Polaris ATV, and your guide will share some of the mining history of the property. Your five zips start at 11,500 feet and are all dual lines 400’ to 850’ long. You will soar over Big English Creek, waterfalls, canyons, wildflower meadows as well as the tracks of the historic Leadville Colorado & Southern Railroad, with the possibility of its steam train puffing up to Climax during your crossing. You are able to add a delicious box lunch to the 12:00 PM tour.

Trip Option 2 | Fremont pass Rails & Zip Line


leadville train ridesCheck in at the base camp to receive your voucher to ride on the LEADVILLE COLORADO & SOUTHERN RAILROAD. A shuttle will take you to the train depot in Leadville. You will then board your historic train and leave the valley floor on a ride ascending 1000 feet to meet your zip line guides at 11,000 feet. After a hearty box lunch served in a high mountain yurt and flight training school, you will start on your Colorado zip line tour. Your zips will take you back to your vehicle waiting for you at base camp.

Trip Option 1 | Wolcott Alkalai Canyon Zip Line


fremont pass zipline toursThis Colorado zip line adventure is located in Wolcott, 18 miles from Vail, Colorado and you will ride six different zip lines 100 to 200 feet above the Alkali River. After an informative, thorough briefing of the tour and your gear, you will board a Pinzgauger 6 wheel drive for a short eight minute ride to the canyon. You will then enjoy the pristine mountains, beautiful trees and raging river while zipping 30 miles per hour over a rugged canyon. Marvel as the canyon walls drop out from under you, revealing the dramatic beauty of the canyon floor from a rarely seen perspective. Groups will be no more than 12 people with two highly trained guides. The tour includes some easy to moderate hiking between zip lines.

Cost: $125 Low Season, Mid May to Mid June & After Labor Day to November 30
$150 High Season, Mid June to Labor Day
Minimum: 35 lbs (35 to 65 lbs must ride tandem for a total of 230 lbs)
Maximum: 230 lbs

Important Notes: Arrive half hour before tour time, Directions to 4Eagle Ranch, 48 hour cancellation policy for groups less than 6, 72 hour cancellation policy for groups 6 or more. Not recommended for those uncomfortable with heights, or with heart, back, hip or knee problems, or pregnant women, you must be able to hike 3/4 mile on trails, for those not completing the course for any reason you will still be responsible for the full cost.

Trip Option 1 | Alpine Rush Zip Line Copper


colorado zipline adventuresIf you do not have time for a lengthy zip line tour, Copper Mountain offers one zip in the Village at Copper base area. No reservations are needed for this nifty introduction to the art of zipping. Tickets may be purchased in the Guest Services Center in Copper Sports or from Sugar Lips, the mini donut shop next to the take-off platform.

Cost: $10 per zip
Times: Sunday to Thursday 10 AM to 5 PM, Friday & Saturday 10 AM to 7 PM
Minimum: 50 lbs
