Great for those who just want to experience something different, and also for those with hip and knee problems who find the slopes too punishing on their joints. Riders sit on a bike that has two skis rather than wheels. Snowbikes use mini foot skis for balance that have bindings either for ski boots, snowboard boots, or regular winter boots. Snowbiking is suitable for beginners and all levels of skiers or snowboarders.

Tour Option 1 | Frisco Snowbike Rentals


copper mountain snowbike lessonsYou are able to rent a snowbike in Frisco with foot skis with various bindings that may be used with ski boots, snowboard boots, or regular snow boots. You will receive instruction on the use of the bike at the rental location. You must be able to load the bike into your car to transport it to your favorite local ski area.

Cost Snowbike: $45 per day
Cost Ski Boots: $10 per day
Times: 7:30 am to 7:30 pm

Included: Bike and foot skis, ski boots if rented

Tour Option 1 | Breckenridge Snowbike Rentals & Lessons


snowbike rentals breckenridgeYou are able to rent a snowbike from AMR Ski and Board Shop in the City Market shopping center in Breckenridge. You will receive instruction on the use of the bike at the rental location. You must be able to load the bike into your car to transport it to your favorite local ski area. You may also pay a delivery fee and have one or more snowbikes delivered, if you are unable to fit them in your car. You will then need to watch a video online about operation and loading onto the lift. If you feel you need instruction on the use of the bike, a teacher will be provided at Copper Mountain on a space available basis with the delivery fee.

Cost Full Day: $40
Cost Half Day: $30

Cost Delivery: $15
Times: Bikes and Lessons must be booked at least 24 hours in advance to set up time

Important Notes: Riders must have a lift ticket. First time snowbikers must watch the video “How to Ride” before their rental or lesson on www.snowbike.com – click on Rent and Ride and then Learn to Ride.

Tour Option 1 | Keystone Snowbike Lessons


keystone snowbike lessonsKeystone offers lessons for first timers which leads to a certification. After completing a lesson, that includes instruction on how to ride and also how to load on a lift, the certification allows the participant to rent a snowbike.

Cost: $49 without lift ticket, $60 with lift ticket, age 13 and above
Times: 12:30pm, 3:00pm, 6:00pm ( 3:00pm and 6:00pm lessons for Intermediate and Advanced skiers and riders only, and only on days with night skiing)
Duration: 2 hours

Included: Lesson and equipment rental, lift ticket if purchased

Important Notes: Check in 15 minutes prior to lesson at Adventure Point on Dercum Mountain, accessible from the River Run gondola in Keystone. Must have lift ticket to access Dercum Mountain. Participants must provide their own ski boots for snowbike lessons. Lessons are scheduled snow or shine, but may be cancelled due to inclement weather.

 

Tour Option 2 | Keystone Snowbike Rentals


snowbike_soloOnce you are certified by taking a Keystone snowbike lesson, or if you have proof of prior experience from another ski mountain, you may rent snowbikes from Keystone’s Adventure Point.

Times: During the hours of operation for Adventure Point
Duration: Operating hours of Adventure Point

Included: Rental Equipment

Important Notes: Must purchase lift ticket to access Dercum Mountain. Participants must provide their own ski boots for snowbike rentals.

    Do you know if Breckenridge offers lessons. I would need the ski bike March 22-25

      Sandra: The Breckenridge supplier will deliver the bikes for an additional $15 fee and give you a short lesson including operation and lift loading as part of the delivery fee.
