The upper and the middle stretches of the river offer more challenging Class IV raft trips for those 13 and above. The Lower Eagle has Colorado raft trips for families with children as young as 5.

Trip Option 1 | Half Day Lower Eagle


raft browns canyon coloradoThe Eagle River (just minutes from Vail and Beaver Creek) is the home of some exciting early-season rafting in Colorado. On the stretch of river known as the Lower Eagle, there are plenty of lively rapids to get you wet with small holes and splashy wave trains. This is a great whitewater trip for the whole family and is a wonderful introduction for first timers with a sense of adventure. The Eagle River is not dam controlled so this river demonstrates the classic mood swings of spring. Minimum age varies with water levels, so please ask about minimums if you have younger members of your family joining you.

Trip Option 2 | Dowd Chute

In Dowd Chute, the constriction of the banks in the quarter-mile stretch of river makes for a thrilling action-packed ride.
