You will fish from a top of the line drift boat or raft, which is limited to two anglers per boat. The infamous Antero and Spinney Mountain Reservoirs are well known for their strong large trout. The William’s Fork Reservoir has some of the largest Pike in the state that love eating large streamers.

After a great day of float fishing your guide will set up camp riverside while you can enjoy some more wade fishing. A surf and turf dinner is prepared for you fireside with all the fixings. The next morning after a hot breakfast, another full day of float fishing awaits you. All camping equipment and meals (2 lunches, 1 dinner & 1 breakfast) are included. Tour Option 1 | Fishing on Lake Dillon – Lesson/Clinic

You will have your choice of fly casting lessons, spin casting lessons or a combination of both. Your guides will spend a half hour of verbal instruction teaching you about the bugs and other things trout eat, and show you which lures and flies to use in trout fishing. After one hour of lessons you will go out for two hours on a pontoon boat, where you can sit and stand comfortably and spin or fly cast for the various species in Lake Dillon. Your trip will be tailored to your choice of trolling, vertical jigging, fly casting, or spin casting. Up to six people fishing per boat. Children ten and under are free when accompanied by an adult.

You will be given the opportunity to sit and stand comfortably on a spacious boat deck and spin or fly cast for the various species in Lake Dillon. Your trip will be tailored to your choice of trolling, vertical jigging, fly casting, or spin casting. Up to six people fishing per boat. Children ten and under are free when accompanied by an adult.

Cost: $125 for 1 person, $215 for 2 people, $270 for 3 people, $350for 4 people, $40 each additional person 4+ (groups up to 24 people can be accommodated)

Tour Option 3 | Fishing on Lake Dillon – Sport & Species Specific

You will be shown the best techniques to hone in on the difficult to catch Arctic Char, or assisted to pull in a possible limit of the unique to Lake Dillon naturally reproducing Kokanne Salmon. Trolling with Down riggers, verticle jigging with i-pilot trolling motor, and early morning and late evening trophy brown trips using fly or spin rods to imitate something only big fish eat, are offered.

Cost: $225 for 1 person, $315 for 2 people, $405 for 3 people, $480 for 4 people

You will be taken to a hut with parking that is close, with just a short walk to the hut for easy access. Four people can be accommodated at one hut, groups of up to eight people will have to split into two huts.

You will need to be able to go on a short trek on Lake Dillon to various hot spots for fishing where your ice fishing hut will be set. There will also be opportunities to venture out of the huts and to try different depths and fishing holes. For times when there are deep snow conditions on the lake, you will need snowshoes for the trek to the fishing holes. These may also be rented from the fishing outfitter.
