Trip Option 1 | Group Dogsled Tour Leadville
Guide a team of experienced dogs on a thrilling dog sled tour
There are six seats per dogsled tour. On the group tour, two people ride on the dogsled at a time while the other guests ride on a sleigh that is pulled by the guide on a snowmobile. Periodically, you will stop and switch drivers and riders. If you want your family to have the dogsled to yourselves, you may reserve the entire dogsled by purchasing any empty seats at the adult price.

Trip Option 3 | Tagsled Tour Leadville
This tour accommodates 3 adults, 2 adults and 2 children, or 1 adult and 4 children on each Tagsled without a snowmobile.  Two dogsleds are joined together and are pulled by a large group of 10-12 dogs.  The guide is on the front dogsled with up to 2 riders and the second dogsled will also have customers on board. As you get out onto the trails, you have the opportunity to drive, ride and control a larger team.  This tour is completely dog powered and whenever the sleds are moving everyone is on board. Overall, this is a peaceful, serene tour with your guide.  This is a great way to dogsled but have the guide with you to help control the dog team.  Up to four Tagsleds may be running together at any given time and will take breaks at the same time on the trail. 
 
Dog sled tours near Frisco & Silverthorne, Colorado
Mid-way on the trip you will make a rest stop at a secluded, mountain tent for some hot chocolate and great conversation, then continue back to base camp.  Up to six individual dog teams will be running together and will take breaks at the same time on the trail. You will be assigned a guide at the beginning of the trip who will run their sled in front of you and who is also able to carry passengers.

Tour Time: 12:45 PM (January 15 – March 15 only)

Trip Option 4 | Two Hour Dogsled Tour Leadville
This tour accommodates 3 adults, 2 adults and 2 children, or 1 adult and 4 children split between two sleds. There is nothing more enjoyable than mushing through the high country with a dog team in the pristine mountain air. This is a peaceful two hour ride on a private trail that will give you the opportunity to fully experience what it means to guide a team of sled dogs.  Throughout the trip your expert guide will teach you the basics of dog sledding and put you to work setting up and guiding the team. This tour is perfect for the dog lover who wants to learn more than the basics about dogsledding.

Trip Option 5 | Kennel Tour Leadville
If you would like to learn more about the sled dogs, then this tour is for you, and may be added to your tour or you may also make the trip just to visit the dogs. During the narrated tour, you will hear about rescue and placement activities with active racing kennels (the dogs are almost all former racers), Alaskan versus Siberian Huskies, basic kennel set up, exercise and training regimes, the sled dog diet, the gear used for winter tours. The outfitter does not actively breed on site, but sometimes they have puppies adopted from other kennels. If puppies are on site and are old enough for visitors, you will get to love them too.

Trip Option 2 | Group Dogsled Tour Summit County
This tour is an awesome 6-mile tour along the gorgeous winding trails of the Swan River Valley. Each dog sled trip begins with friendly, knowledgeable guides explaining how to run the sled and how to work with the beautiful Siberian Huskies on your team. The tour, which can handle up to 6 people, is run as a "relay" - guests will switch off between running the dogs, riding in the dogsled, and riding on a small passenger sleigh with the guide, stopping along the way for everyone to trade places. The guests riding in the snowmobile sleigh have the opportunity to take great action shots and video of the participants on the dog sled. This tour is a unique, interactive and absolutely thrilling way to experience dog sledding and the Rocky Mountains.
