Tour Option 1 | Keystone Cat Adventure Tour


keystone cat skiing toursKeystone Adventure Tour (KAT) guides will take you in the comfort of a heated snow cat to the exhilarating Independence bowl of the Keystone ski area located above the tree line at 12,000 feet. Here you will spend the day skiing or riding through untracked terrain. This tour is for expert or advanced skiers and riders only, who are comfortable skiing steep and deep untracked powder slopes and in trees. Before taking your first run you will be fitted with an avalanche beacon. Skiers and riders will tackle the slopes one at a time for safety reasons. Powder skis will be provided to you courtesy of Salomon and the equipment rental is included in the tour cost. Poles and boots are not provided.

Included in your guided tour is a lunch experience at the Independence Hut. Daily offerings include a gourmet buffet with an array of natural gourmet meats and cheeses, fresh artisan breads, medley of salads, homemade soup and delicious desserts. The tour goes out snow or shine, but the KAT guides may cancel due to adverse conditions with the snow or visibility.

Cost: $275 per person, $3,025 Group Buyout to accommodate up to 12 people
Tour Time: 7:45 AM meet time, 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM for actual tour, late December to first week in April (snow and weather dependent)
Duration: 5 hours

Recommended to Bring: Poles and boots are not provided with the ski rental.
Included: Guided tour, snow cat transportation, lift ticket to get you to the cat, Salomon powder skis (no snowboard demos available), lunch

Important Notes: Meet at tour time at the Keystone Sports Tune Center in Buffalo Lodge in the River Run Village, Keystone. This tour is only for expert skiers or riders. If the KAT guides determine that you cannot safely take part in the tour, you will be asked to not participate without a refund. The lift ticket provided is only to access the cat. If you would like to ski after the tour you will need a lift ticket. Powder ski rentals will need to be returned to Keystone Sports. 24 hour cancellation policy. Minimum of six people needed for tour to go out.
